PACQUIAO WATCH: It’s the meat, stupid
MY neighbor in www.philboxing.com and www.mannypacquiao.ph went ballistic in his latest article, spewing acerbic humor unto his self while spitting his venomous attacks against this writer.
I won’t pick up a fight with him. I was told he stands well over six feet and weighs more than most heavyweight boxers that even the man who he called Jackal made peace with him.
My, my, Mike – if you will allow me to call you by your first name.

PACQUIAO WATCH: Bordering on idolatry
With his ring success nearing the apex like that of every great pugilist that ever donned the mitts, praises heaped on Manny Pacquiao have ranged from the mundane and innately passionate to bigotry and outright idolatry.
To most rabid fanatics, Manny has become invincible, even infallible, since he avenged his loss to Erik Morales four years ago.
Along the way, many skeptics have turned avid Manny minions.

No stopping the 2010 poll automation
THE Commission on Election (Comelec) will have no other recourse but to award its P11-billion poll automation project to the last remaining bidder once its post-qualification procedure is over and done with – a process attended by accusations and countercharges which saw six other bidders falling on the wayside and with one bidder giving up in disgust.
Unless technically proven that Smartmatic/TIM, the last bidder standing, cannot deliver the hardware that goes along with the software needed for the full automation of the 2010 general election and will fail to meet the remaining criteria set by the poll body’s bid and awards committee, there is no stopping to the end of manual casting, counting and canvassing of the votes.
